STEM/STEAM Club

Listed Below is our upcoming STEM/STEAM Clubs for 2017-2018 school year.

November '17 Stem Club:  The Oregon Trail

 

The November STEM Club will center around the children focusing on what it might have been like to be an early settler. The activities will be creating a Temporary Shelter, making a Covered Wagon, Ford the River, Barrel Making, and a Ball and Cup toy. There will be a settler themed snack with a door prize drawing!

December '17 STEM Club:  The Polar Express

 

December's STEM Club will focus on the classic children's book, The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. The students will participate in Making a Bell, creating a Gravity Sleigh, Train Bridge, Create a Toy and Build a Paper Box. We will have sugar cookies and hot chocolate for snack. There will be two lucky door prize winners! Merry Christmas!

January '18 STEM Club:  Superhero

January starts a new year. So we are encouraging all students to be a Superhero. The kids will see who can create the Tallest Skyscraper, the Farthest Flying Plane, the Strongest Spider Web, Longest Bridge, and the Fastest Balloon Rocket. A SUPER snack will be provided. There will be a door prize drawing. 

February '18 STEM Club:  Star Wars

 

In a galaxy far, far away, the students will venture into Stemclubia. There they will have five missions to complete. Their missions, if they choose to accept, will be:  Working Light Saber (which side will you choose?), Droid Factory, Marshmallow Blasters, Jedi Magnet Maze, and creating Clone Troopers. An intergalactic snack will be provided. There will be a 'May the Force Be With You' door prize drawing!
